Underwater Explosive Ordnance Disposal System
As a result of conditions in the world today, increasing
demand to respond to crisis situations has led Inflatable Technology
Corporation to introduce the "Mark V Underwater Explosive Ordnance
Disposal System." The Mark V system is the result of a culmination
of more than 20 years of designing and manufacturing underwater
flotation and is currently in use by navies worldwide.
This self-contained system is specifically designed
for the removal of underwater mines, weapons, or explosives.
Mark V System can be deployed by a single diver from a remote location,
such as an inflatable boat, and is designed to operate to full lift
capacity to a depth of 175' with the standard air source.
Mark V System includes:
- A 2200 lb. enclosed pontoon
manufactured of heavy-duty yellow 40 oz. urethane-coated nylon
fabric for high abrasion resistance and fuel resistance
- 2-80 cu. ft. aluminum
or optional lightweight 87 cu. ft. fiber-wrapped cylinders
- Pressure relief valves
- Inflation manifold
- Tank harness
- Electric actuation valve
- Surface command unit
Other options include:
- Carrying bag
- Rigid storage box with carrying handles
- Time delay actuator o Acoustic actuation
- Spare pads
- Tool kit
- Repair kit
The Mark V System meets the non-magnetic MIL specification
(also available in a magnetic version)
The Mark V Underwater Explosive Ordnance Disposal
System replaces the obsolete U.S. Navy Mark 11 Mod I Flotation Bladder
(NSN #8465-00-992-6689) of which SUBSALVE has delivered over 200
units over the last decade.
The new Mark V System is an improved commercial version
employing state-of-the-art materials and manufacturing technologies
and is currently in use by navies worldwide.
